Hello, I'm Matthew!
I am a student at UCLA studying Mathematics of Computation (ex Art Major), graduating December of 2025. I have been making games for the past 6 years, specializing in Technical Art and Graphics Programming.
I was previously an intern with the Las Vegas Sphere where I procedurally create art and help support other artists by making tools.
My areas of interest include real-time rendering of flora and fauna such as grass, trees and butterflies. I also enjoy building custom tools and pipelines to build a smooth creative medium allowing artists to focus on their craft rather than the technical details.
My hobbies outside of my work are spread pretty thin, but they include:
• Japanese printmaking (my retirement hobby)
• Drawing with ink, specifically with this favorite pen
• Brewing (lagers)
• Dendrology (tree classification)
• Gameboy ROM Hacking (specifically Pokemon Crystal written in Assembly)
• Jewelry making (specializing in silver)
• Rock climbing (V5)
• Running (4:58 mile at my peak)
I'm a game dev, not a web dev.
